Suggested structure:
- Intro yourself to camera (30 secs)
- Intro your company - voice over slides if you like (2-3 mins)
- Why you exist / what problem you solve
- Use cases
- Who do you help (product managers, UX / CX / Customers Insights teams, agencies, freelancers …)
- How customers work with you (SaaS, services, combo ...?)
- Some customer names ... if you want to
- Walk through your product (5-6 mins)
- Try to …
- Keep it high level and benefits focused: less is more
- Tell a story from a user perspective: what are their needs and uses cases?
- Make it about outcomes more than process or features
- Avoid …
- Technical jargon and acronyms
- Lots of button clicks (shorten sequences in editing if necessary)
- Capturing large, busy screens with too much detail
5 handy tips:
- Use a good quality microphone - no crackles, echos or background noise please
- Speak slowly and clearly for all our non native English speakers
- Script it, don’t wing it - plan properly to maximise your 10 mins 😀
- Edit afterwards - don't expect 10 mins of perfection right off the bat
- Leave them wanting more - you’ll know who has watched and can follow up to offer a more in-depth conversation
